Perfection

Perfection.
Nothing else needs to be said.

Country Sky

We drove for hours.  The sky was bright and light on one side, dark and ominous on the other.  The country houses, barns and silos were about to get pummeled.  The rain was coming.

A Father's Love

A father's love is strong and solid. As his soft cheek rests against your chest and his tiny hand curls into a baby fist, your heart swells. A father's love is unconditional and unwavering.

Angry

The skies were dark, brooding and angry. The clouds bubbled and churned. Thunder boomed in the distance and lightning flashed, prompting immediate cover. The storms of summer scare and fascinate.

Colors

The field is a brilliant green with splashes of yellow. His hair is as orange as the burnt summer evening sky. His shirt is as blue as the calmest ocean. The colors merge and blur to create a beautiful canvas, worthy of a second look.

Rough

The wood is faded and rough. The wire, once razor sharp, has dulled. But despite these imperfections, the wired fence is beautiful as it stands proud in the over-grown field.

Time Flies

Time flies.
She was once craddled in my arms, her chubby little hand clutching my shirt as she slept peacefully, eyes fluttering with her baby dreams.
Now she flits and dances in the breeze, her long auburn hair shining as the sun teases each strand.
She's growing up. Fast. Too fast.

Lazy Days of Summer

The lazy days of summer.
Warm breezes tickle our funny bones and ice cream melts down the side of our cones. We close our eyes and wish these days would never end. As the sky turns orange and red, we dip our toes into the sun-kissed water and giggle, hoping for more of the same tomorrow.
